I woke up early with so many things to do
I washed the pots and hung out the clothes
But there were birds too

I made breakfast and popped to the shops for milk
but when I got back I made tea
And got back under the quilt

I woke up to a rose on my pillow
And I began to cry
I looked up to the window and
Saw a heart in the sky

I tided the house and wondered about that mouse
I hovered,mopped,polished the TV
And found a fiver under the couch

I took my children to school
And held their hands all the way
I told them to be brave and smile
God listens everyday

I went shopping,it was raining really hard
But I was looking for a get well card

I worked at a charity shop and watched
People looking for,sieving for gold
Children came in looking for teddies to hold

I went to the park and bought the kids an ice cream
They were so happy the day was a dream

We went to the cinema and watched a Disney film
We felt like little working ants carrying a popcorn meal
Eyes bright and excited

I bought a lottery ticket and watched the TV
I didn't win the jackpot but
Those three numbers bought a treat tea

Tomorrow I will go to the market and buy some fresh fish
Life is not champagne and caviar
Life is a kiss
