Your thoughts are your verse

The very verse

Your views are your verse

Even before the day has started
I remember I’m broken hearted
I looked across the night-club
Dreamed of flying like a cherub

From cloudy to clear

Looking at my window
Fireworks in the sky
Fizzling like popping candy
In my mouth

Illness

I could have traveled
Learned survival
Gone on dates
Made new mates

Loneliness

Loneliness is better than
Phoneyness

On a mission
To send me to the kitchen

A chocolate bar
Your favourite chocolate bar singing a solo!

Schizophrenia
I just want to run

Dessert or the desert?

Like a far star
I sit up at the bar

A slug hitching hiking on a bird!

What’s wrong?
No candles

Take my picture

In a Viking ship
At the Grand Canyon
At Niagara Falls
At the Pyramids
At a Love Shrine
The Wall of China
The Statue of Jesus
The Himalayas

You are note-perfect

Mates doing your head in
Jealous of who your bedin

Dropping you cause your fat and on meds
Eating too much nutella on bread

Mates doing your head in
Jealous of who you are petting

Everything has gone dead

Story

I felt the muscles on his stomach and reached for his belt, pulling him
Towards me,kissing and gasping. He put his hands through my hair
And my neck tingled like a single drop of water.
We were in a alleyway,a passionate secret.
I looked around for flowers and romance.
I remember thinking, next time there would be dinner and candles.
But school was not candles.
I loved to kiss and dreamed of holding hands on a bus,
Both of us listening to my walkman.
I would wait for the bus and smile if he was on it,walking to the back
All excited!!!
If he wasn’t ,I would be all disappointed.
Instead,I put on strawberry lip balm at every break time and look around for him.

My love rises into the air like a rocket
I love your hands when they are deep in my pocket!!

Lisa Locket
