There in pairs

There in pairs

Sat by church

And It hurts

My heart works

They do flirt

But they end up dirt

I like the quirky and I like my turkey!!

A smiling emoji

A disco that’s smoky

Engraved in a tree

Flowers for me?

Paygrade

Chocolate

I’ll never be hot

Boiling on the hob

Smiley creations (business idea)

Got me new trainers

And I’m wearing them like I’’m famous!

Are they all just players?

Or do they have layers?

Green is beautiful

The grass,the trees,the leaves

A green planet is what we need

Birthday blues is already beginning

In true New Year style

I wish I was slimming Wining Singing

The underdog

The voiceless

I saw myself in a photograph

I saw myself get out of the bath

I thought to myself

I couldn’t fit onto a raft,I’m fat

I saw myself in the mirror

In the hall and at the cinema

I put one foot on the scales, wondering

Have I failed?

I’m standing in the chocolate isle

There’s the Chinese on my speed dial

I just have to diet for a lifetime!

I look into the nightclub mirror

I put on my make-up but I don’t get a glimmer

I wish I was slimmer

Happy New Year!

There’s a little Elf in your ear!

Putting you to sleep and stopping those tears

It’s the 1st of January

I wish the Angels would smile on me

I wonder about astrology

Throwing a stone in the canal

Walking along the canal

I’m hungary,

Something low-cal

Then I could bare!

The food group

The right food group

A couple of hearts

Taking in art

Drifting apart

Two pieces of ice

A melting of husband and wife

Taste and memory

The TASTE of bread from the bakery

Always looking for a little gem

Always looking for a little gem

A Rocking Boxing day

Putting that cake away

The Buffet!

Bella and the kids had a play

It was dreamy

Christmas holidays?

I wish I was on the waves

Telling lot’s of tales

Drinking and forgetting life’s trails

I’m looking for happier times,

Happier climbs and a beautiful gaze

A job that pay’s

Friends that do not fade

Love that does’nt make me feel afraid

In a few weeks time

I will me 39

And I have prayed!

Someone will light and brighten the way

Christmas was spent festively

New Year holds my destiny

Memories that are precious

Chocolate for breakfast

Opening the presents

The dog happily wrestles

Paper everywhere

We all watch and glare

Watching the telly,again!

Wishing I had a friend

I could tell the truth to

I’m waiting for the words ‘I believe you’

I’m getting too much sleep

I try to diet but I cheat

I need to find my feet

And I can’t even waiter

When your in the room

I want to fly

Take a picture,all my heart

Hold my hand as we walk

Kiss me,stay in my thoughts

Like chocolate torte

The music is playing

And your still betraying

I would like a baby doll

A picture of Barbie on my wall

I would like a train set

My own little toy pet

I would like a race car

I want to see the Christmas star!

The Red outfit

Lot’s and lot’s of cuddles

Sat on his lap

The elves are blowing bubbles

We are having a chat

Ho!Ho!Ho! What would you like for Christmas?

A big box of liquorice

And chocolate biscuits!

I would like to meet Angel Gabrielle

To breathe in that pine tree smell

The twinkling eyes of Noel

To sing like Oliver Twist

Go to a carol service and meet the organist

Or play the triangle to the percussionist

Give a round of applause to the pianist

Lot’s of smiling emojis!

Wishing you a smile and a glow

Christmas snow

The Christmas candy lane

God,

His hands are full?

Deer

Deer

I wonder if we will see a deer

Standing in sunlight like a chandelier

Drinking from a spring that’s crystal-clear

Hiding from the mountaineers

Maybe we should take a trip to Devon or

Windermere!

If we are quiet in the woods

We might hear them running away

There’s people with guns that want antlers for display

We shed a tear till next year, around May

Owl

I wonder if we will see an Owl

I dreamed it’s wings span around me

He landed on my arm

I dreamed his talons found me

And I wasn’t alarmed

The strength of his wings

The beauty of spring

I nearly fell over but he made me believe

We visited the farm

His white feathers made a psalm

My eyes followed him in the sky and I cried,

So long

I could see he had a magical heart

A light to follow before the day starts

The Fog

Creeping in,you almost stop breathing

My heart is beating loud

The car is waiting around

At least we can look for cat’s eyes

They make us rise from our seats

Dad,could you turn up the heat?

Pass us a boiled sweet?

The Fog,like a creature you can’t see more than a metre

You sit in the back and say a prayer

The thick fog is everywhere

We have the lights on,on the motorway,

Will we ever get home today?

It sits on the ground like a mysterious shadow

You have to be patient, hour by hour

World Trade Center 9/11

London 7/7

When everything went still and grey

Humanity and spirit saved many

Elf poem

I heard an Elf on the shelf, whispering

Have you seen them all kissing?!

Watching the tv,drinking,eating?

Greeting at the front door

Bringing in the white snow

Have you seen them dancing

Fancying that dessert?

Battling the elements?

Diving into their presents?

Boxes everywhere

Made into a shelter!

They are looking at the baubles

They can see their own reflection

They are touching the tinsel

And wonderful confection!

When everyone goes to bed we come to life

Have a giggle over their growing middles!

Playing the piano and piccolo,

Planning a Christmas show

Merry Merry Christmas,and of course

Hello!!

Leyland Festival

Leyland Festival

They are putting up bunting above the streets

I can hear the snare drums already

Lot’s to do and lot’s of people to meet

I hope those drums aren’t too heavy!

Children are looking up in excitement

Trying to touch the flags

Soon the streets will be crowded

With fancy dress and drag

Tarmac sticking to our feet

Marching to the brass band beat

Melting melting in the heat

I can’t wait to find a seat!

My sister and I are wearing identical dresses

Carrying a banner with God’s message

Others are carrying a cross

And it’s not just around the block!

It feels like many,many miles

Walking through the town

People watch with big,big,smiles

And the festival princess wears a crown

The sun is out and so is the ice cream van

The audience are in a trance

Watching every float go past

There’s lot’s of tents pitched on the park

You can buy pizza, burgers and hotdogs

Each float has something different

There’s businesses,cars and motorbikes

Even cartoon characters are talking on the mic!

Men are doing a Morris dance

And the church tent has a big entrance

There’s people selling helium balloons

On the street corner and street performers

The circus tent has lot’s of acts

Trapeze,clowns and acrobats

I watch in ore of tightrope walkers

And those bendy contortioners

My Grandad worked at Leyland Motors

They made buses,trucks and cars

And every time the 111 bus comes round

It's still the same

(Identity of Leyland)

Fox

I wonder if we will see a fox

Let’s touchwood and quietly watch

That shade of red flashing

Like a sunset glow

As the wind gently blows

Sitting on some rocks

Holding your breath between the poppycocks

We are in a forest

The stars are out and being honest

I don’t want this loneliness

This cold air and frostiness

The snow has stayed white

We can see the pawprints

The moon sparkles like a clean shiny dish

While the trees move and flinch

It’s midnight and there are other animals to find

A Owl,and Deer

Birdsinging in your ear

The Fox is drinking from a pond

Maybe he will sing a song

I look into their eyes, their soul

Taking sips from my water bowl

Hunting,

The fox is running

The sound is numbing

Bang!Bang!Everyone is jumping

And then there is silence

Honey love

Honey love

Need someone to share a song

To use their tongue and watch my lungs

Need a soul to help me over the wall

Treat me like the belle of the ball

Warts and all

Under a waterfall

Snow me the money!

I wanna take a walk on the beach

With a starry sky

I wanna go skinny dipping and

Watch the owls fly

I wanna live in a Lighthouse

And stop a baby’s cry

I wanna travel in a campervan and get high

I wanna wear diamonds for just one night

I wanna fall in love at first sight

I wanna meet the one in my dreams

Write old fashioned letters and old fashioned films

To have health

To describe everything I have ever felt

To say a prayer to the little elf

Sat in my shelf

Putting up the Christmas lights

And counting down,the nights

Red robins pausing and then taking flight

Comforting puds!

Money

I don’t need money but I would love

Someone sunny!

I get so depressed sometimes, flicking the telly,

Filling my belly

Could I find someone funny?

I don’t mind splitting the bill

If we can’t get a taxi

I’ll walk up the hill

If he needs me to buy a drink

I don’t care,if he makes me think

I really don’t mind a bag of chips

As long as I get his lips!

As long as I can hold his hand

I don’t care missing my favourite band

If the dinner is overdone

If it’s too cold for a run

I don’t care if he is the one

I would love him to be romantic

Like I’m the only girl on the planet

I would love him to give all his time

To have courage and be kind

His kiss is the most important thing

That he supports me when I dream

Smiles at me when I sing and

Does’nt pull off my wings

When the lights went out,he had an opportunity!

He sqeezed through a gap in the wall to find some tea!

He looked right, left and ran across the kitchen floor.

The family cat was asleep, for sure?!

He crawled up the table and saw a tower of cheese!

Lot’s and lot’s of crackers ,he thought,
