Christmas for Write Lines

Christmas for Write Lines

C

Ok
Let’s start with C
All things Christmassy
It begins with cards from charity
Turkey sandwiches with cranberry
Going to the pub for a carvery
Shopping for a Christmas jumper
And a bottle of Chablis
Watching your niece in a children’s nativity
Buying chocolate coins for the Christmas tree
Explaining to your niece and nephew how
Santa come’s down the chimney!
We start the celebrations with a small mince pie
We look up and wonder how doe’s Santa fly?
We sing carols in church and light a candle on Christmas Eve
We watch the children smile and know that they believe

H

Building a snowman we need a carrot and a hat
When we pull a cracker we get our own hat
A holiday for heroes and haribo sweets
Counting down every week
There’s holly on the front door
We hear Hark, the Herald Angels sing and ask for an encore
Everyone home together on New Years Eve
Eating homemade hot pot and too much cheese!
Oh, and a hot chocolate please!

R

A turkey roast or a three bird roast
And roast potatoes in the oven
A glass of rose wine in your hand
And watching your child’s first bike ride
Hoping to get a glimpse of Santa and Rudolph
We run down the stairs at midnight
And see all the lights
A saucer of nuts and raisens
And the smell of spice

H

Playing Holly and the Ivy from a
Christmas carol book
Skating with your love on an ice ring
And learning how to cook
I love ice crystals in the window
And I just want to touch
I have an iced baileys in my hand and  I
May just drink too much!

S

My niece is a Christmas star in her nativity
My favourite film is Santa Claus:The Movie
I love singing Silent Night
I love having a snowball fight
I sit in my slippers watching TV
I sit there eating too much candy
All that shopping,shopping and shopping
All that stuffing,stuffing and stuffing
A selection box
Christmas socks
A decorated tree is perfection
And don’t forget the Queens speech!!

T

My first thought is tiny Tim
Turkey with all the trimmings
If it was up to me the tree would stay up all year
The lights would stay up all year
And we would always wear tinsel!
Toys, toys, and lots of toys all year round!
Togetherness and tradition

M

Marshmallows and mince pies
Have already appeared in the shops
The muppets Christmas carol is on the telly box
I love singing Away in a Manger
And carrying mistletoe
I’m better wearing some mittens or my hands will get cold

A

Every child knows when there is a Argos sale!
Every little girl wants to be Angel Gabriel
We imagine that we have Angel wings
Or we are one of the three kings
It’s after bed time and we are still eating after eights
Our tummies are beginning to ache!

S

A Christmas song
A family bond
Receiving presents from across the pond
